Traditionally an Irish funeral involves a wake. This can be held in the deceased’s home or that of a close family member. In recent times many families choose to have their loved ones waked in the Chapel of Rest in our Funeral home.
Deery’s Funeral Directors based in Carrickmacross have a purpose built Funeral Home which offers families and friends comfortable surroundings in which to pay their final respects to a loved one. We have the availability of two viewing rooms to cater for the needs of families and friends of both larger numbers and for those who prefer a smaller room to allow for a more intimate gathering.
We have a reception room to greet friends and family who have travelled long or short distances to share this time with the family.
The chapel of rest offers a great opportunity to spend time with the deceased in serene peaceful surroundings. The family room provides a chance to spend time to sit and talk with other mourners.
We have ample private off street car parking facilities available.
